In the aim to reduce my consumption of fast fashion brands, I will be making a conscious effort to shop from sustainably-sourced stores, ethically-based collections and more durable pieces.
H&M
With H&M being a current favourite of mine, I've recently discovered their 'conscious' line. Coming with no limits, this line makes it extremely easy to transition from the basics we lean towards from online fast-fashion retailers, yet still remaining within a very reasonable price range.

Keeping with the neutral palette going into Autumn, both of these items are effortlessly chic yet still providing all the comfort.

This set is a great, more elegant, alternative to a classic tracksuit. Layered with a trench and either black boots or chunky white trainers, this is such an easy transitional Autumn look.

sisters & seekers
I've always loved this brand, first discovering them on Instagram, and now being retailed in Topshop & distributed online worldwide. Their latest drop 'Boyish' is not only unique but right on trend, and being on the pricier side, the pieces anticipate longevity.
I love this sweat set, being in a grey-wash colour-way and material. I've seen one very similar on PLT's site, however half the price and therefore less guarantee of durability, therefore this being the better option in regards to sustainability and long-term wear.

Again, this is set is effortlessly easy to dress up with a light overcoat and chunky trainers.

Not only is this shirt a great transitional piece, it's highly unique and effortless. I can see this styled with a pair of wide-leg light wash blue jeans or grey joggers for a more casual street-style look.

I particularly love these boxer-style white shorts. Perfect for lounging, this trend surfaced in the midst of lockdown with the 'les boys les girls' shorts.
Taking inspiration from this trend, this variation is more wearable in my opinion, making them a great transitional piece as we move into the Autumn season.
weekday
Weekday, being part of the H&M group, have recognised the fashion industry's responsibility towards the sustainability movement. Their pieces are dedicated to a number of sustainable criteria, including the use of organic cotton, recycled materials, plastic, water and CO2 reduction, as well as their 'second hand' and 'recycle with us' schemes. This makes them a much more desirable store to purchase from as opposed to the likes of Zara, with lines being similar however price points slightly higher.

This contemporary-coloured trench is a perfect way to differentiate neutral looks.

I love the simplicity yet uniqueness of this day midi dress, allowing for numerous styling options in A/W, available in mint and black.
I also love their range of designer-inspired bags.
